The short version
ChainMap runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad. It has no servers of its own, no sign-in, and no way to send your activity anywhere. Everything below explains that one sentence.
Where your work lives
The sites you open, the scenarios you run, the Blueprint Fragments you uncover and the display name you type in the app are written into the app's own private folder on this device. That folder belongs to the app and to iOS. If you back the device up, the file travels inside that backup under Apple's protection, not ours.
What we never ask for
There is no account, so no email address, phone number or password is ever collected. ChainMap does not request your contacts, your location, your camera, your microphone or your photo library, and you will never see a permission prompt from it. No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or attribution kit is built in, and no third-party software development kit is bundled that could gather anything on its own.
It works with the network off
Every process, project, material and concept ships inside the download. The app makes no network requests while you use it, so there is no traffic for anyone to inspect or log.
Removing what you have made
Nothing was copied anywhere, so there is no export request to file and no deletion form to send. The "Start over" action in Settings wipes the stored file and returns the app to its first-run state. Deleting ChainMap from the device does the same thing permanently.
Younger builders
ChainMap is written for students and professionals working in construction and engineering. It is not directed at children under 13, and since nothing at all is collected, no information is knowingly gathered from a child of any age.
If this changes
Should the app ever gain a feature that changes any of the above, this page is rewritten before that feature ships and the date above moves with it.
